Treating anxiety often requires a thoughtful combination of therapies, medical interventions, and lifestyle changes tailored to each individual’s unique needs. At Fortitude Healing Centers, we provide a range of programs designed to address anxiety at every level of severity, helping clients build long-term emotional health. Each program is structured to deliver the right level of support at the right time, ensuring a clear and supportive path to recovery.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is well-suited for individuals who don’t require constant supervision but still need a high level of structured care. Clients participate in full-day therapy sessions, skill-building workshops, and group discussions, returning home each evening. This program allows individuals to practice new skills outside of treatment while maintaining consistent therapeutic support, making it a strong step-down option from inpatient care or a starting point for those with severe anxiety.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers structured care that balances professional support with personal responsibilities. Clients typically attend therapy three to five days a week, participating in evidence-based treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and group counseling. This program allows clients to continue working, attending school, or caring for family while actively engaging in treatment, making it an effective option for managing moderate anxiety.
Outpatient therapy provides ongoing support for individuals with mild anxiety or those transitioning from more intensive levels of care. Clients meet regularly with a licensed therapist to explore underlying causes, develop coping strategies, and maintain progress over time. Its flexibility makes it ideal for sustaining recovery while preventing relapse.
Eligible clients participating in anxiety treatment at Fortitude may have access to supportive housing. This option allows clients to attend PHP, IOP or outpatient treatment while having a stable and supportive environment outside of programming hours. Supportive housing is separate from clinical treatment and does not provide inpatient care or 24-hour clinical supervision.”
Medication may also play a valuable role in treatment, particularly when symptoms are overwhelming. At Fortitude Healing Centers, our board-certified psychiatrists take a collaborative approach to prescribing and monitoring medications. They carefully adjust dosages to maximize effectiveness and minimize side effects, ensuring that medications complement—rather than replace—therapy. Common options include antidepressants, beta-blockers, and short-term use of benzodiazepines. This integrative approach allows clients to achieve better outcomes through a balance of medical and therapeutic care.
Therapeutic interventions remain at the heart of anxiety treatment. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients reframe negative thought patterns, while Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) emphasizes emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness skills. Motivational Interviewing fosters self-awareness and strengthens motivation for change. Group therapy provides a sense of community and shared experience, while family therapy involves loved ones in the recovery process to improve communication and support at home.
By combining evidence-based therapies with personalized care, Fortitude Healing Centers equips clients with practical skills to navigate life’s challenges, manage triggers effectively, and build resilience for lasting recovery.
